Serenading the Untamed: A Harmonious Adventure with Craig Hinds at Kruger Untamed

An Exclusive Music and Wilderness Experience at Tshokwane River Camp, Kruger National Park

From 13-15 September 2024, Kruger Untamed’s Tshokwane River Camp invites nature enthusiasts to indulge in an exclusive experience, “Serenading the Untamed.” This unique event blends the beauty of the African wilderness with luxury glamping, gourmet cuisine, and an unplugged performance by the acclaimed musician Craig Hinds.

A Fusion of Wilderness and Luxury

Nestled in one of Kruger National Park’s most game-rich areas, this event offers a low-impact, high-experience retreat. Guests will be treated to gourmet cuisine, curated wine tastings, and expertly guided safari activities. The luxurious, eco-friendly tented suites provide an intimate connection with the surrounding environment, ensuring an immersive wilderness experience.

An Unforgettable Musical Evening

The highlight of the weekend is a starlit, acoustic performance by Craig Hinds, the frontman of the multi-platinum-selling South African band Watershed. Set in a dry riverbed, Hinds’ melodic tunes will harmonise with the nocturnal sounds of the African bush, creating a magical evening for all attendees.

Experience Highlights

  • Exclusive unplugged performance by Craig Hinds: A unique musical evening under the stars.
  • Curated wine tastings: Featuring Hinds’ wines, “Letters” Chenin Blanc and “Indigo Girl” Bordeaux blend, crafted with Cellarmaster Danie Steytler Junior of Kaapzicht Wine Estate.
  • Daily safari activities: Led by expert guides, offering close encounters with Kruger’s diverse wildlife.
  • Luxurious accommodations: Two-night stay in spacious canvas-tent suites with en-suite facilities, blending comfort and eco-conscious design.
  • Gourmet dining: All meals and house beverages included, prepared to delight discerning palates.

The Setting: Tshokwane River Camp

Opened last year, Tshokwane River Camp is renowned for its prime location beside the Ripape River’s dry riverbed. Guests can enjoy the natural splendour of the area, staying in luxurious tented suites nestled among leadwood, rain, and sausage trees. The camp’s elegant lounging areas offer relaxation between safari excursions and wine tastings.

A Commitment to Sustainability

Kruger Untamed’s camps operate with a strong focus on sustainability. Seasonal structures are dismantled to allow the land to recover, and the camps use a combination of generators and solar power. Water conservation measures are in place, and the venture promotes youth employment and skills development within local communities.
